Task.6 ( The Spanish Educational System III).STAR.

Helloooooo my busybees!!!

I am AINHOA and this week I have been the STAR or better said the COACH . During this week I have to train to our STARS for the next week.

How? Well, at first we are going to do a training which consist in read questions with the answer in cards. We have to choose one random, we can read it for a few seconds and after we have to write the answer on another paper. In this way we can memorize the answer while we are writing it.

When we have already finished this...the FUN starts...we have two GAMES in which the busy bees are going to learn while they enjoy it.

First game:
Six member of the group have to answer the questions of the topic that they have chosen. For answer the questions each member have 3 minutes, if he/she doesn’t know the answer have to say “ Next” then the time will stop and will start with the other member and other topic. Who answer more question correctly wins the game. When the round has finished the member choose other topic.

Second game:
Who want to be pass?
There are six categories (one per topic) with 10 question for each one. Each question have four possible answer but only one is the correct. There are 6 participant divided in two groups, the group have to have a spokesperson and the other person are the helpers. The group that get right the more number of question win the game.

We are going to practise this during ALL the week. I hope that we have good luck in the game although I have to say that our Starts are well prepared and they  are very brave because, in my opinion, this is a big responsability. To conclude I would like to said that I am very proud of my group because we have learned a lot and the most important, we have done this enjoying it.

That all and GOOD LUCK FOR EVERYONE in the GAME!!

Zzzzzeeeee you soon !!!

Task 6. ( The Spanish Educational System III). Journalist

Hi everyone!!! :)

I am María and this week I am the journalist!! ^^

This role is very interesting and funny because I have learnt about visiting other blogs and reviewing them. Also I had fun taking photos of my group and of the rest of the class doing this task.
This week we had to select the best ten questions of the topic that our teacher gave us. It was very difficult because we saw good and interesting questions but finally we chose some of them.

And then our teacher (Linda) said us that the next week we have to do a "contest" with the questions that the haul class have choosen. For doing it we have had to decide who are the stars and the two stars are.... Bernabé and María José !!. My group and me thought that they are going to do as better as possible the next Monday.
There are some good prizes if we won: to have a joker for the oral exam and a very good mark.

So we are helping them with some strategies that our star Ainhoa has done. They have started to study so much and we hope such as group to do in the best way.

 WE STARTED WITH DIFFICULTIES AND
DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEWS FOR SELECTING!

WE HAVE TO SELECT THE QUESTIONS!! IMPORTANT DECISIONS FOR US!

HELPING OUR STARTS FOR THE NEXT WEEK: BERNABÉ AND MARIA JOSÉ!

WE HOPE TO WIN THE CONTEST!!!

Finally I recommend different blogs for visiting:

In class, we have a nice group: Keep Calm and Keep Organized. From my point of view, it is a very responsible group that doing the tasks very well. Their blog is very interestimg and useful for this subject.

 I hope you like it:

Task 6 ( The Spanish Educational System III). Facilitator

THE BOSS IS HERE!!
Hi, I´m Ana, the facilitator of this week.
This week, Busy Bees has to create a kind of training and prepare the questions with the purpose of win the final game. To accomplish these objectives, I decided to firstly, choose the two stars for the game (they can change during the week), who are Mª José and Bernabé.
Then, I thought that the best way to create a good training was giving different ideas and selecting the best ones, so all the members less the stars for the game (they have to prepare all the questions very well and have many responsibility, so I preferred to let them be “free” in this part) gave one idea, and among all of us selected some of them for the training, so these would be the games of the training.
Finally, we divided all the questions among the members with the purpose of answer them, looking over them later to correct any mistake or to improve the answer in another way.
In conclusion, this week we have prepared all the information needed to the game, reviewing the information learnt the previous week.
I hope you like the form in which I have divided and coordinated the work.
Lot of kisses!!
XO XO, Busy Bees

Task 6 ( The Spanish Educational System III) Translator

·    Hi everybody!!! My name is Miriam and here I am another time as the Translator. According to my role, I have to collect the five most important terms that we have learnt this week. From my point of view, it was a difficult task because we have had the same activity two weeks so I have to be sure that I have put the correct words. I have repeated the terms: Curriculum and the Educational System because I think it is important to reinforce them.
·         We are working with the Changes in the Spanish Educational System, so I decided the definitions of this week are the following ones:
·
·         -Curriculum: The curriculum is a document which contains the academic content that is taught in a school or in a specific course of program.
·
·         -Educational System: The Educational System refers to the general structure by which one it is organized the education in a country. It is generally reflected in a general law.
·
·         -Systemic Reform: The Systemic Reform is a reform that make changes or aspires to make them in multiple levels of the education system.
·
·         -Didactic Methodology: The Didactic Methodology refers to the strategies, procedures and actions planed by the teaching staff to make possible the correct learning of students and the achievement of the stated objectives.
·
·         -Evaluation Criteria: The evaluation of the learning of the students, they gather what the pupils must achieve, both in competitions and in knowledge.

task 6 ( The Spanish Educational System III) Analyst

Hellooo busy beesss!!! I´m Bernabé, the analyst this week, and I´m going to explain you how my group ha been workin this week in this last part of the task.

During this week, we have worked in a task named: “Primary Educational System III”. This week was a “relax week” because we mustn´t to expose in class anything, but we must to do other different works.
Previous to last week, we have made cards that contained questions about the Spanish Educational System and they were necessary to the topic for last week.
Last week(13th of April), we had to collect all of the cards that every group did about different topics of the Primary Educational System, then we had to select ten questions of every topic and finally, we decided who will be the stars to the next week.
To collect all cards of the different groups was very easy, because the teacher provided us all. Then we order there in alphabetical order and we copied the questions and answers in ours computers. There were many cards and we hadn´t got much time! But thanks to all members of the  group we could do it.To select ten questions of each one of the different topics, we used as a criteria to select the question better formulated and more clever to understand. It didn´t be easier as we hoped, but I think that our selection was right.

The stars selection for next week haven't been the decision of the group, everybody could decide if he/she want to be the star for next week or not.
Finally, Maria Jose and me decided to be the star for next week. It implicates that the rest of our partners must to design a method to study for next week.

The marks that I put of the members group have been very well, this mark reflects that all of my peers worked very well last week, when one member needed help, received help in a very short time, and all were very responsible in the realization of their role in the group.

This is the reason that I am very thankful to my parents and they have these marks.

SEE YOU BEESSS!!!

Selected questions

Criteria in order to choose 10 questions about the topic 4

Hi bloggers!!!
I am María José,the responsible of the group and I am going to explain you what we have done with the questions in this last session.
Firstly,Linda gave to each group the questions of each topic with the objective of selecting the best 10 questions of each topic for doing the game next week.
So my group and two members of the group "Power Teachers" have selected ten questions that we have thought that are the most important taking into account the following: the content(the questions are not only theoretical in which  you  have to study by heart in order to response, it is important that there are practical questions in which you can think about and reflect to discover the answer).
Apart of the content,we have selected the questions taking into consideration that they are clear for avoiding confussions in the game and that the questions address the principal ideas of the topic.
Also we have tried to avoid questions that are very repetitive related to other questions(in this case,we have chosen the questions that are better formulated).

This is all for today
See you next week with news about the next step of this task!!

Task 6 (Spanish Educatioal System II). Facilitator

Hello everyone!  :)

I am María and this week I am the facilitator.
I was very nervous for this role because I thought that it has a big responsability and effort. Also it is called “the boss of my group” that it consists in dividing, organizing, encouraging and cordinating the task.
I wanted to do as well as possible and to try solving the problems that could appear in my group.

First of all, I had to divide the roles of my group, so I had to tell them the responsability of this week. The roles of this week are the following:

  •   JOURNALIST: Miriam Peña
  •   ANALYST: Mª José Peñalver
  •   TRANSLATOR: Yolanda Tudela
  •   CURATOR-FARMER: Gracia Rueda
  •   STAR: Bernabé Jiménez
  •   STAR 2: Ana López
  •   RESPONSIBLE: Ainhoa López

The title of the task is called: “BUILD THE QUESTIONS FOR BEING INCLUDED IN THE GAME”. It consists in build four questions of each topic:

 · An Overview of the Educational System
       · The Primary School
     · Organisation of Primary Education
         ·  Organisational Variations and Alternative Structures in Primary    Education
         ·  Administration and Governance at Local and/or Institutional Level I
         ·  Administration and Governance at Local and/or Institutional Level II

The questions didn’t have to be too easy. The goal is to build questions that have an effort in thinking like “practical questions” or theoritical questions. In addition, we had to put only one answer as clear as possible. And we had to include the name of the topic of each question.

And for doing that, we had to create white cards and included the questions, the answers, the topic and of course the name of my group. So, I divided each topic with my group:
Topic 1: Mª José and Yolanda.
Topic 2: Miriam
Topic 3: Bernabé
Topic 4: María and Gracia
Topic 5: Ainhoa
Topic 6: Ana
And Mª José printed the questions too.

I thought in the four questions, and I said to them that each topic have to include two practical questions and two theorital questions.
All of the questions have to be done: 2nd April.

We had some problems: the Easter week. So, it was difficult meeting all the group in one determined day bacause of the holidays. So, the solution was to be online, so I thought in Skype (a program that connect people online) and it was very useful for seeing all the questions.
Other problem that my group have if that we  talk at the same time, but with effort we respect each turn and with this task we are improving a lot in this aspect, especially through skype :) .

Finally, on Monday we had all the questions and we are very proud of how we worked in this the task.

Task 6 (Spanish Educatioal System II).Star

Hello, I´m Bernabe, the star of this week. With this role I am the principal voice of my group and I have to represent it explaining the task that we have done but this week the dynamic of the stars has been a bit different. Furthermore for preparing the activity there were some difficulties due to some facts that I am going to tell you in the next paragraphs.

This week has been a special week to work because it was the Easter week. Due to this fact, it was impossible doing the work together, because all of the members of the group were with their family. In spite of them, we realised the work very well and the facilitator solved this problem(we did skype).
When I was preparing my role, I was so nervous because I have never been the star and it is a role with a very high responsibility. Fortunately for me, this week the roll of the star hasn´t been very difficult, it was easier than other weeks because in this, the stars haven't must to expose any work to the class.

In the work of this week,we have worked with other groups of the class(four members of my group have worked as supervisors with the group "Keep Calm an Keep Organized" and the the other four members(including me) have worked with the group "Power Teachers".We have had to evaluate the cards of the Power Teachers group and supervising how they were evaluating the other cards that belonged to the rest groups of the class. For me, it was a very good experience, because we had the oportunity to know how this group work, so, it was a good point to compare different point of views and ways of work evaluating the cards for the game.
In conclusion, the coordination this week has been more difficult than other weeks, but the work of star hasn´t been as hard as other weeks.
See youu!!!!   Busy Bees.

Task 6 (Spanish Educatioal System II). Journalist

HERE IS THE JOURNALIST!!

Hi everybodyyy!! My name is Miriam and this week I'm the Journalist of the BusyBees group!! :)
I have been waiting for this role since we began with this subject, it seems to me that is very interesting to register the photos of the process that we have followed when doing the activities.

During the last two weeks (two because we were on Easter holidays!), we realized a series of questions (concretely four per topic) about the changes in the Spanish educational system that we will include in the game that we will realize the next week in class. We had to take care at the moment of realizing them because they had to be clear and understandable, correctly written and the information clearly summarized.
In total, we had to do twenty four questions each one in a single card.

According to the work, in class, we divided the six topics: the 1º (an Overview of the Educational System) and the 4º (Organisational Variations and Alternative Structures in Primary Education) topic were made by two people each one, whereas the others topics were distributed among the members of the group:

TOPICS
PEOPLE

1.   An Overview of the Educational System.

Maria José and Yolanda

2. The Primary School

Bernabé

3. Organisation of Primary Education

Miriam

4. Organisational Variations and Alternative Structures in Primary Education

Gracia y María

5. Administration and Governance at Local  and/or Institutional Level I

Ainhoa

6. Administration and Governance at Local and/or Institutional Level II

Ana

Due to the fact that we have had Easter holidays, we had several problem to meet because each one of the group were in our villages (far away) and we could not meet physically, so, we chose to meet via Skype to put all the things and questions in common.

On Thursday 9th, when we already had done the summary and the four questions of our topic, we put them in common and we decided what are the best ones and those that need some change. We finished all the details. We worked well and we did our best in spite of the fact that it was difficult for us to decide the day to meet.

On Monday 13th, when the class began, the teacher linda divided our group in two, and we have gone a half with Power Teachers (Yoli, María, Berna and I) and another half with Keep Calm and Keep Organized (Ana, Ainhoa, Gracia and Maria José). We have had to evaluate with Power Teachers all the cards about the topic 1 that all groups have done. Our group has the role of ‘’the Supervisors’’, we had to judge the cards of our classmates of the group Power Teachers (they could not evaluate by themselves), and then, we had to supervise that they judge correctly the other cards, in order to be objectives putting marks.
Firstly, we have established in common the criteria that we have followed in order to evaluate well all the cards. Each one has chosen one group and has read their four questions before putting them jointly.
It has been a good experience to work with other groups in order to enrich each others with our different ideas about how to evaluate correctly. It has been also interesting to work with other people different from our team.

In order to finish to the second part of my role, I have to search and comment two blogs, one from inside our class and other from outside.
Regarding to the blog form inside our class, I have chosen the SevenUp’s one (http://7upgroup.blogspot.com.es/) because for me, it presents the information very clear and I like its organisation and its creativity (I love the pencil as a mouse!). The information is well-structured and they write their post with lot of enthusiasm, so well done SevenUp!

According to the blog from outside the class, I have searched lots of them but the one that attracts my attention was this one: Kathy Griffin’s teaching strategies (http://kathygriffinteach.blogspot.com.es/), She is a teacher that shared activities and lots of things and videos to help children to learn, I love her idea of being a ‘’Singing Teacher’’ and to connect children’s learning experiences with music.

I hope you like my post! See you soon beeeees!!!
