Task 3 (Telling stories). Grades of my classmates.

Hellooo busy bees !! I am the Analyst again but now I am going to show you our classmates' grades: 

                                    Power Puff Teacher:
Their Star was nervous and talk a bit low but she did it well. Their topic was interesting and the power point was well and original.




                                       Power Teacher:
Their Star was fantastic and their topic was good but some contents were wrong. However I liked a lot their prezi and I think that was very original.



                                              7 up:
Their Star was nervous but she did it well and the topic was interesting .The problem was that some pictures didn't have  license or relation with the topic. 




                                           Meerkats:
I loved their topic because it was very funny. Their Star was nervous but I liked their power point because you can see pictures clearly. The problem was that they didn't have time to finish the exposition and in one picture the planets looks with te same size and this can confuse the children.




                                         Umpalumpas:
Their topic was good and their power point was funny because you could see a lot of cartoons but it contained a lot of information and their picture didn't have license. Also their Star was nervous and read the paper. They didn't have time to finish their exposition. 



                                            Itschool:
I liked their topic because was original. Their power point was fantastic because you could see a lot of pictures but some pictures contains a lot of information that children don't know . The Star explained very good. 


                               Keep Calm & Keep Organized: 

Their were very brave with their topic because I think that history is very complex. Their Star was fantastic although told a lot of information. The power point was  good and I loved it the boxes which contained object from different historical periods. It was very original !

                                          Platypus:

Their topic was original and the power point was funny because their pictures were cool! But their picture didn't have license and sometime you can't read the information. But their Star was fantastic!

Task 3 (Telling stories). Analyst

Helloooo my busy bees!!! I am Ainhoa and during this week I have been the ANALYST . I am going to tell you how this week has gone...

During this week we have worked in the Task called Telling stories. In my opinion it was a difficult activity.  The best part of the activity was to choose the topic to do the exposition. At first was a bit difficult because our classmates have already chosen their topics but finally this was good because our topic about organs senses is very interesting and useful for our future. On the other hand the worst part of the activity was when our work was almost finished but we decided that it wasn’t well, so we had to start again and change a lot of things but finally we get a wonderful job.
The best moment was when we decided to do games in the exposition and we had to organize them. It was very funny draw the tongues in a cardboard and cut them and to do the flavours. Also I enjoyed organizing the games and practicing them.
However the worst part of the week was the weekend because we had to work a lot and we hadn’t time, also we were very nervous over all our Star Maria Jose, because we weren’t very sure about the games.
I have to say that this week I have learnt a lot. First I have learnt about the Creative Commons . This is a license which allow us to use images which belong other authors also there are different types of licenses that show us what type of right we have about the pictures. On the other hand I have learnt how to use Flickr to look for pictures with license. This is very interesting and important because I think that could be useful for my future and for my degree.
In my opinion the Busy Bees is a good group. We are good classmates and friends, and this is very important for work in a group. Sometimes we have fights or discussions because our opinion is different but we know to fix them. I believe that our group is worker and everyone try to work hard and to do a brilliant work but we always can be better. We should have patience with our colleagues and we need to listen the others’ opinion to do well the work and through this way we can get a good job.

To conclude I have to say that there is a social connection with the task from this week. The Creative Commons is something very important and the majority of people know nothing about this, I mean that when you put a picture in internet you aren’t aware about that other people can use your picture and your information and if you don’t do something to avoid it , it can be bad. So, I am very happy for learning about something too important.


Now I have to say that this week the Busy Bees have worked very hard and we have seen the result in the exposition. We are very nervous for the previous expositions but this week we have shown all our work. Everybody enjoyed the exposition with the games and our teacher too. I am very proud about our work and I hope that you too.

Task 3 (Telling stories). Journalist

Hi everyone!!! I am Bernabé and during this week I have been the JOURNALIST of the group. At first I don't like this role because I don't like take photos but I have to recognize that it was a good experience.

This week The Busy Bees have had to do a third task called “Telling stories” that is divided in two parts: in the first part we had to investigate about what means to use Creative Commons and summarize the 20 basic tips for developing a good presentation.
In the second part we had to choose a topic of some content of Primary Education and doing a slideshow to expose it in class.

Now I am going to explain the story of my group to do this third task:

Last Monday our School Organization and Educational Resources teacher proposed us  a third task and explained it. The objective of this task was to understand how to do a real good presentation and how to create and use free resources.
So this day we watched different videos about it that our teacher recommended us in class. 


One of the videos that we saw before start with the work.... 



After that, the facilitator divided the information that each member of the group had to search: One members of the group had to search about Creative Commons and the others about how we can do a good oral presentation.


The first day that we met was on Tuesday 24th in the Aulario Giner de los Rios to start doing this task. First of all, we compare the previous information that we had searched about Common licenses and selected it in order to put it on the presentation.
After that, we started working in the first presentation about common licenses and how to do a good presentation.




We were working hard all of the afternoon and we was able to  finished this part of the work :)

We had to meet also on Wednesday 25th to continue doing the second part of the task. In this second part we had to choose one topic of some content of Primary Education. We searched a lot of topics such us nutrition, healthy habits... But finally we found the senses and we  love it due to we can interact with the students in class and explain it with games.
So this day we chose this topic,searched information about it and we continued doing the storyboard for doing a good  slideshow.






The third day that we met was on Thursday 26th in the morning. We had some questions about the presentation so we decided ask to our teacher and she advised us on how to do the presentation better. After that we realized the mistakes that we were making in the presentation so we had to do the presentation again.For this reason we met also in the university in the afternoon improving our work.This day was very productive and we had enough time also to organized how the star would do the exposition on Monday and prepare games that she had to do.



On Monday 2th was the  exposition and the star was so nervous but she had learnt the content and had clear ideas about it so we knew that she would do it well.


...and finally,although the star was nervous, the exposition was very good.

Finally, the second part of my role consist on explore and comment a blog from inside the class and other from outside the class.

From inside the class I selected the group keep calm and keep organized because she did it in a good way,although she was very nervous.She also tried to represent the different history ages with somethings that they put on the table.So as I said in the comment I liked the exposition and I think that  history was a very complex topic in order to explain  it.

From outside the class I decided to comment a post that resulted me very interesting. Task 3 (Telling stories). Facilitator

Hi bloggers!!! I am Gracia and this week I have worked as facilitator. I have to admit that this role is more difficult than I thought because firstly I thought that my group would hear everything I said but I realized that I was wrong. I have to admit  that sometimes I found some difficulties attracting the attention of the group or dividing the work in a good way, so I have had to put a lot of effort in order to do the activity as well as possible.

When the teacher gave us the information of the TASK 3 we read it and we started to work so then I divided the work among the members of the group and we started the task very excited.

All of us looked for information and we put it in common the days that we met. We planned to met two days but finally we had to met more times to do the task because we realized that we needed more time to finish the work.

The way in which I distributed the work was the following: Ana and me started to do the power point about Creative Commons Licenses and Yoli did the power point about how to do a good oral and visual presentation, Maria Jose and Miriam planned the structure of the power point about “the senses”, which is the topic that we had chosen and Maria and Yoli did the power point while Bernabe looked for pictures in flickr with Creative Commons Licenses.  

We started to do the task and we realized that we had some questions about it, so we went to the class on Thursday to show our storyboard to the teacher who explain us some mistakes that we had done and we realized that we had to do a better structure so Maria Jose and Miriam did the power point again.
The rest of the group and I modified the power point of Creative Commons Licenses. 

We contemplated that a good way to present our topic to a class of primary education was doing some games with the students, so we talked about which materials we were going to use for doing the games that we had thought, but we were a bit worried because we thought that we would not have enough time to do the games in the presentation but finally we decided to do the games with the objective of show the five senses in a more precise way. 


Ana and Ainhoa drew the tongues. Ana and Maria José thought the rest of the activities and on Monday Maria José and Ainhoa brought the materials (a piano, a teddy, some cotton, a torch...)

Regarding to Flickr, we knew that page but we had never used it so it has been a good way to know more about it.

To sum up, it has been very complacent do this task and see that the work it has been doing correctly and we are learning how to work in groups in a good way, that in my opinion it is very important. 

Task 3 (Telling stories). Star

Hi!!I am Maria Jose and this week I have worked as the Star.
This week we have had to do an exposition about some content of the second cycle of Primary Education. My group and me decided to realize an exposition about the senses because it is, from our point of view, a very interesting topic to explain to children, in which the teacher can do different activities and interact with their students, like I did during the presentation.In fact one of the objectives of this task is to explain the topic in the way that I would do with my future students.To do this task I have worked very hard during this week in which our group thought about how I would explain the different concepts at the exposition in an easily way, how I can capture their attention and what kind of games I could do to make a dynamic and funny presentation while they learn.


Before the exposition I was very nervous, but it is normal, because it is my first exposition and I had only 4 minutes to do all the activities and explain all the information. When I was in the middle of the class explaining it, I have to recognize that I felt very comfortable and very motivated, so I tried to express the content with different examples and proposed some activities in which a volunteer that belong to the “Power Teachers” group (SILVIA) helped me in order to experiment with the different senses.


Finally, the exposition was very good, so my group and me felt very proud of our work because we had worked a lot on it, and we could appreciate it. We have to continue improving our works in spite of the difficulties.

Personally, it has been a good experience for me and I love being the star. I have learnt many valours with this role: one of them is to realize of my strengths (expose, explain and transmit the ideas that I want to say) and also control my weaknesses (nervous and anxiety).I recommend this experience for everyone because you do not learn only the content, you improve your potential to be a teacher, and as  future teachers, that is good for us.

Hi everyone!! I am María José and I am the star of the group Busy Bees, This is my volunteer Silvia who is going to help to do some activities with the senses. I am going to talk about the senses. This explanation is dedicated to children of second cycle of Primary Education.I hope you like it :)

Task 3 (Telling stories). Translator



Hi everybody! (:

I´m Ana, and this week I´m the translator of Busy Bees!
My role consists on select five important terms that my group have learnt during this week and the third task. The terms that I have chosen are:

CREATIVE COMMON LICENCES: Creative Common Licences are the basic system used for sharing free content online such as photos, videos, music, information, …. There are different kinds of licences due to the uses and conditions that the creator chose for them, so people can use them respecting these conditions.

COPYRIGHT: Copyright means that only the author of a certain product (such as a photo, video, article,..) or somebody with the permission of the author have the rights granted to reproduce or share that product, so people have to pay to its author to use it.

FLICKR: Flickr is a free website to share and view pictures; Users can upload their photos, so people can found them searching for a specific tag (such as dog, tree, ...). On this community platform we can find images with creative common licences.

SLIDESHARE: SlideShare is a company with the goal of transmiting knowledge online, such us documents, slide presentations...  Users can upload their content and other people can comment it. Also, it is so used to share the material uploaded in blogs or other kinds of social networks.

SLIDESHOW: Slideshow is a digital presentation of several pages which contain images, text, etc with the goal of presenting it to an audience. These presentations are usually created by programs such as PowerPoint or Open Office Impress.

Although these are the five terms that I have chosen(from my point of view they are the most important ones), in this task my group have learnt so much about other terms such as Storyboard or Jamendo among others.

Task 3 (Telling Stories). Information

Information that our Star (Mª José)  has used to explain the Senses in the last class:

Hi everyone!!

I´m Maria Jose and I am the star of the group busy bees. I’m going to talk about the senses. This explanation is dedicated to children of second cycle of Primary Education.

Sensitivity is required to understand our surroundings. Our senses give us information about the world around us so we can react to it. For this reason, we have five senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. Each sense goes with an organ in the body.



We are going to start with the sense of sight:

* We use our eyes to see. They are the organs of sight

* The eyes have two parts, one for vision, formed by the eyeball, pupil, iris, lens and retina to see, the other part is for protection, formed by the eyelids, eyelashes and eyebrows.

* We need light to see, so if there is a little light, we cannot see objects very well, and if it is completely dark, we cannot see anything.



The skin and the sense of touch:

* We use our skin to feel. It is our organ of touch.

* The skin is the biggest organ in the human body.

* Our sense of touch helps us to perceive things like pressure, temperature, roughness, smoothness or hardness.



The ear and the sense of hear:

* We use our ears to hear. They are the organs of hearing.

* The ears allow us to differentiate sounds and know where the sounds come from.

* There are two parts:

  -We can see the outer parts. These are our two ears.

  -The inner ears are inside our head. They are very delicate.



The tongue and the sense of taste:

* We use our tongue to taste. It is our organ of taste.

* We can taste food and drink with our tongue.

* The surface of our tongue is full of small dots called taste buds. We use these to distinguish flavours. We have four different flavours: sweet, salty, sour and bitter.



The nose and the sense of smell:

* We use our nose to smell. It is our organ of smell.

* When we breathe, air goes in through our nose.

* We can distinguish different smells using our nose. For example if food is bad or good.
