TASK 7 (Cohexistence Plan). Facilitator

Hi Beeeees!! My name is Miriam and here I am another time as the FACILITATOR of the busy bees’ group this week!!
As you know, the objective of my work this week is to be ‘’THE BOSS’’ of my group and to coordinate and organize all the team, the meetings and the work. It is the second time that I have been The Facilitator, so I was not as nervous as the first time when I have had the lead role.
This activity is called ‘’Coexistence Plans’’ and it consist in inventing a story of a conflictive situation placed in a Primary School, we created a situation in class and then we interchanged with other group and then, we had to do a TV documentary where the problem was explained and the School leader team explained how the coexistence plan could help to improve and solve the problem.
First of all, I have to say that on Monday, before the explanation of the teacher, we divided the roles with little pieces of paper that we took randomly. Here you have the roles:


We had the story that our colleagues ‘’UMPALUMPAS’’ have made, it is a story about a case of an Arabic girl in a school of Paris, after an Arabic terrorist act, the classmates of this girl abuse her, blaming her for it like their parents.

In order to meet and divide the work, we decided on Monday that all we should search something in our houses before Tuesday about:
·         Talks about preventive acts.
·         Promote the Multiculturalism by workshops and co-existence activities.
·         Prevention and development of improvement of coexistence.
·         Punishment to the abusers and the measures that parents will take in account.

When all we have searched the information, we met on Tuesday to gather the information and start to do the dialogue between the reporter (Ainhoa) and the School leader (Berna). While we were doing the script, we decided to do some sort of a Diary like ‘’The Patricia’s Diary’’, It was called ‘’The Yoli’s Diary’’ and Yoli would be the presenter of it.


As soon as we finished all the script, we decided to meet all Thursday in order to film the video in the morning and to set the video in the evening, so we had to eat and spent all day together with the purpose of finishing the work. It was a very hard day, but finally, we solve all the problems that we have had and we did our best!

Task 6 ( The Spanish Educational System III). Facilitator

THE BOSS IS HERE!!
Hi, I´m Ana, the facilitator of this week.
This week, Busy Bees has to create a kind of training and prepare the questions with the purpose of win the final game. To accomplish these objectives, I decided to firstly, choose the two stars for the game (they can change during the week), who are Mª José and Bernabé.
Then, I thought that the best way to create a good training was giving different ideas and selecting the best ones, so all the members less the stars for the game (they have to prepare all the questions very well and have many responsibility, so I preferred to let them be “free” in this part) gave one idea, and among all of us selected some of them for the training, so these would be the games of the training.
Finally, we divided all the questions among the members with the purpose of answer them, looking over them later to correct any mistake or to improve the answer in another way.
In conclusion, this week we have prepared all the information needed to the game, reviewing the information learnt the previous week.
I hope you like the form in which I have divided and coordinated the work.

Task 6 (Spanish Educatioal System II). Facilitator

Hello everyone!  :)

I am María and this week I am the facilitator.
I was very nervous for this role because I thought that it has a big responsability and effort. Also it is called “the boss of my group” that it consists in dividing, organizing, encouraging and cordinating the task. 
I wanted to do as well as possible and to try solving the problems that could appear in my group.  

First of all, I had to divide the roles of my group, so I had to tell them the responsability of this week. The roles of this week are the following:

  •   JOURNALIST: Miriam Peña
  •   ANALYST: Mª José Peñalver
  •   TRANSLATOR: Yolanda Tudela
  •   CURATOR-FARMER: Gracia Rueda
  •   STAR: Bernabé Jiménez
  •   STAR 2: Ana López
  •   RESPONSIBLE: Ainhoa López

The title of the task is called: “BUILD THE QUESTIONS FOR BEING INCLUDED IN THE GAME”. It consists in build four questions of each topic:

 · An Overview of the Educational System
       · The Primary School 
     · Organisation of Primary Education
         ·  Organisational Variations and Alternative Structures in Primary    Education
         ·  Administration and Governance at Local and/or Institutional Level I
         ·  Administration and Governance at Local and/or Institutional Level II

The questions didn’t have to be too easy. The goal is to build questions that have an effort in thinking like “practical questions” or theoritical questions. In addition, we had to put only one answer as clear as possible. And we had to include the name of the topic of each question.

And for doing that, we had to create white cards and included the questions, the answers, the topic and of course the name of my group. So, I divided each topic with my group:
Topic 1: Mª José and Yolanda.
Topic 2: Miriam
Topic 3: Bernabé
Topic 4: María and Gracia
Topic 5: Ainhoa
Topic 6: Ana
And Mª José printed the questions too.

I thought in the four questions, and I said to them that each topic have to include two practical questions and two theorital questions.
All of the questions have to be done: 2nd April.

We had some problems: the Easter week. So, it was difficult meeting all the group in one determined day bacause of the holidays. So, the solution was to be online, so I thought in Skype (a program that connect people online) and it was very useful for seeing all the questions.
Other problem that my group have if that we  talk at the same time, but with effort we respect each turn and with this task we are improving a lot in this aspect,especially through skype :) .

Finally, on Monday we had all the questions and we are very proud of how we worked in this the task.

Task 6 (Spanish Educational System I). Facilitator

Hello bees!! I'm Miriam and this week I have been the facilitator of the BusyBees group!

Regarding to my work, this week I have coordinated my group in order to accomplish the Task about ''The Changes in the Spanish Educational System 1º'' (next week we will carry out the second part of the task).
As the facilitator (or the ''Boss'') this week I have to say that we have had several problems according to the meetings because, as we are coming closer to the Easter holidays, we have to do lots of works so we were pretty busy, however we manage to organize our work very well.
Being the facilitator has been an interesting role, I have never had the opportunity of giving orders and organize the group, and so as I am concerned, finally we have done a good work. It can be done if we all play our part!.
Each week we worked harder and harder and the results can be seen in the quality of the work, my classmates did a good work because I think we are a good group and we worked very well together and I am very happy with their involvement on this week's task.

To begging with the Task, on Monday I started to divide the work, first of all we did not know so well what we had to do, but when we asked Linda about it and we read the resources published in ''El Aula Virtual'' we knew how to divide the information. Our group had to do two conceptual maps in with we had to explain the ideas about the changes between this 2 topics (related to the Spanish Educational System):

-An Overview of the Educational System:

-Organisational Variations and Alternative Structures in Primary Education.

To start putting the work together, we met on Wednesday, when we all had the information that I divided on Monday summarized. We putted it together, although we had several problems at the begining because everyone wanted to speak at the same time, we finally did a good work, better than we could have imagined.

On Thursday, we had to do Skype because the work of clarifying the information in order to put it easier. This task was not as easy as we thought so we had to speak and to start with the conceptual map with the tool Mindmeister.

Finally, the last day that we met was on Friday (at first we thought coming over Thusday, but when we realized that it was the father's day, we decided to meet on Friday), when we finished all the work that we include in the conceptual map and we went to print it in the stationary.


To sum up, we have had problems at the beginning with the organization, but at the end, we did a good work and we totally power-bonded!

Task 5. (Summary Video). Facilitator

THE BOSS IS HERE...

Hi everyone, my name is María José and this week I have worked as facilitator.
During this week I have had to coordinate and control the group. I had to direct and control that the group was working properly together. The boss of the group has the task of being the key person in the solution of personal affairs between members, guaranteeing the quality of our blog and also tries to improve the weaknesses of the group changing the strategy if it is necessary, for doing works better and improve as well as possible.
In addition I have had to distribute the roles as well. So these are the roles of this week:

CURATOR-FARMER: Ainhoa López

RESPONSIBLE: Ana Lopez

Summarizing the week, we started when Linda explained in class the fifth task called Summarizing the subject until now, and the exposition of this work. It was very interesting due to as we can see in the title of the task we had to summarize in an animation video what we had learnt with the tasks that we had done during this weeks (TPACK, Treasure hunt, Oral exposition and the dark side of the textbooks)
First of all, we didn’t know how to use moovly so this day; Linda explained the task and after that my group and me watched a tutorial video and read in the webpage of moovly how to do a good animated presentation for having clear ideas to do it.

After that, I established three days for doing this task:
We met three days:

MONDAY
WEDNESDAY
THURSDAY


The first day was on Monday and I divided the work in this way:
Four members of the group summarized the most important things, each one of each task.
So the rest of the group would continue design a way for doing the presentation in a creative way. The way in which we thought that it was very easy for doing it was to explain each task and the content so we have the idea of explaining it through a boy who goes to the school and learn a lot of things with his teacher. So this day we did the dialogue of characters and decided that Gracia, Maria and Ainhoa were perfect to interpret the characters on the video.

We met other day (Wednesday) to do the scenes that we wanted so four members of the group designed some scenes and the others members the rest of scenes. When we did it we started using moovly.Each member of the group had to do in moovly the scenes established.We also started recording the audios. We spent a long time doing it so we decided to meet other day for finishing the project.

The last day was on Thursday; we recorded the audios again and finished the task (in spite of some problems with the computer).
I would like to say that working in group is always something very important but difficult at the same time due to the different opinions and the different ways of doing things.
I have tried to coordinate the group in a good way but I have to recognize that sometimes it was very difficult to do it because, as I have said before, all the members have speak at the same time with different ideas for the project and it is hard to control this kind of things. In spite of it, I think that I did it as well as possible and always trying to improve as a group that is an important point.

To sum up, we're proud of our work because we were working very hard and we hope you enjoy with us. I would like to congratulate my group due to the work and of the good experience we have lived.

Task 4 (The Dark side of Textbooks). Facilitator

Hello guys!!! I am Yolanda, the facilitator of this week!

Firstly, I have to recognise that this role was more interesting that I thought. Furthermore, I'm very susprised with the attitude of the members of busy bees because we have coordinated this week very well, I want to congratulate them!! Also, I have to admit that I really like my role this week, because I love to put order and to manage the groups of work.

The task of this week was "The Dark side of the textbooks". Firstly, we have had to read some articles and blogs that were about this topic. So, on Monday I divided the articles and blogs that we have to read among the members of my group. On Wednesday, we put in common the main information that we have found in our lectures and the facts that we have found against the textbooks.

On thursday, while some of the bees did skype and talked about in which steps we were going to divide the infographic, I did a timetable with the time that we had to do the tasks, and  the division of work for every bee for Friday. This is the timetable:

9:00- 9:30
 Order the facts
 Gracia, Ainoa and Yolanda.
9:00- 11:00
Information that the star should know
Maria José and María.
9:00- The end of the task
Infographic
Miriam, Ana  and Bernabé.

When every team finished his task, they should to help the other bees with the infographic until everything was finished.

On Friday, they met on Luis Vives, but I was ill... So, I was not able to go. However,  they worked according my advices and the timetable. Also, I did skype with them in order to helped them. I am very proud of my group, this week we have worked very hard!!

Task 3 (Telling stories). Facilitator

Hi bloggers!!! I am Gracia and this week I have worked as facilitator. I have to admit that this role is more difficult than I thought because firstly I thought that my group would hear everything I said but I realized that I was wrong. I have to admit  that sometimes I found some difficulties attracting the attention of the group or dividing the work in a good way, so I have had to put a lot of effort in order to do the activity as well as possible.

When the teacher gave us the information of the TASK 3 we read it and we started to work so then I divided the work among the members of the group and we started the task very excited.

All of us looked for information and we put it in common the days that we met. We planned to met two days but finally we had to met more times to do the task because we realized that we needed more time to finish the work.

The way in which I distributed the work was the following: Ana and me started to do the power point about Creative Commons Licenses and Yoli did the power point about how to do a good oral and visual presentation, Maria Jose and Miriam planned the structure of the power point about “the senses”, which is the topic that we had chosen and Maria and Yoli did the power point while Bernabe looked for pictures in flickr with Creative Commons Licenses.  

We started to do the task and we realized that we had some questions about it, so we went to the class on Thursday to show our storyboard to the teacher who explain us some mistakes that we had done and we realized that we had to do a better structure so Maria Jose and Miriam did the power point again.
The rest of the group and I modified the power point of Creative Commons Licenses. 

We contemplated that a good way to present our topic to a class of primary education was doing some games with the students, so we talked about which materials we were going to use for doing the games that we had thought, but we were a bit worried because we thought that we would not have enough time to do the games in the presentation but finally we decided to do the games with the objective of show the five senses in a more precise way. 


Ana and Ainhoa drew the tongues. Ana and Maria José thought the rest of the activities and on Monday Maria José and Ainhoa brought the materials (a piano, a teddy, some cotton, a torch...)

Regarding to Flickr, we knew that page but we had never used it so it has been a good way to know more about it.

To sum up, it has been very complacent do this task and see that the work it has been doing correctly and we are learning how to work in groups in a good way, that in my opinion it is very important.

Task 2 (TH: Cartographic Projections). Facilitator

Hello, I´m Bernabe and this week I have been the facilitator. It was hard and stressful because I have had to coordinate and organize the work of every member in the group and I tried to do it as well as possible.
This second task is about "Treasure Hunt: cartographic projections". To do this activity, first of all I organized the information that each member of the group had to search to do this task. After that, we met and collect the information.Furthermore we started to do the projections in a cardboard and I distributed the work in this way: Miriam,Yolanda, María José and Ana designed the maps and did the comparisons of two countries (Canada and Turkey) taking into account the different projections(Robinson,Mercator and Azimuthal).The rest of the group (Maria, Gracia, Ainhoa and me) did the other parts of the work: media determine the vision of something and an example of treasure hunt.We met various days to finish it and when we had all of the work concluded we did a reflection about the relationship between this task and the slogan “Media are not neutral”.


To sum up, I can say that working as facilitator has been a good experience in which I have learnt how the group has to work and the weaknesses that we have to improve next time.

Task 1 (TPACK). Facilitator

Hello my busy bees!! 
Throughout this week I have been the facilitator of this group. I have to say that at first I was very confused because this way of working is new for all of us, but with the collaboration of all my colleagues all, it has been easy. :)
The work of this week was to discuss the TPACK. To make the explanation easier we decided to make a poster in which we represented TPACK  .
Our curator -farmer , Miriam draws very well so here I decided that she was in charge of making the main drawing with the company of our Analyst, Maria . The rest of the group (Ana, Maria José, Bernabé, Gracia, Yolanda and me) did a search on TPACK as definition, objectives, goals...
Finally we all work together to represent the information in the poster.

I have to say I really enjoyed this experience as Facilitator and of course I have to say I am very proud of my team and our work
