Task 8. Leadership (Translator).

DO YOU NEED THE MEANINGS OF THE WORDS?
I'M HERE FOR HELPING YOU ;)

Hi bloggers,
María Jose is here again working as translator. This is the last time that I am going to work with this role and for me it has been a good experience working not only in this role but in general. I hope through my posts you realized the work that I have to do each week with motivation and trying to improve for doing it as better as possible. It has been a pleasure sharing with you this journey in the subject School Organization and Educational Resources and I hope of being able to  applicate all the knowledge that I have learnt for being better as a future teacher.
After this briefly farewell discourse, I am going to do my role that is to give you the most important words that we have learnt this week with the last task that is about LEADERSHIP:

Leadership is the ability to communicate with a group of people having an influence in their emotions trying that the team or group works with motivation in order to accomplish the goals or objectives.
Within of the leaderships we can distinguish different types:

Authoritative leadership
This kind of leadership is directed by a leader who controls all the things that occurs ordering and requiring to his/her subordinates who can‘t  express their ideas about the work. This leadership is very repressing .

Participative leadership
One of the most important things in this kind of leadership is the participation of all group. The leader promote dialogue with the goal of taking decisions together and reaching a conclusion about any work.

Transformational leadership
The leader and the subordinates increase the level of morality and motivation. This kind of leadership is not based in reward and punishment, on the contrary, the leader says to their subordinated what they have to do because the work that they do is for improving as a group.
This kind of leadership is related to the emotional intelligence of the leader and their followers.

Transactional leadership.
This kind of leadership is based in reward and punishment. The leader says to their subordinates what they have to do and they have liberty in order to think some ideas to the work taking the appropriated decisions. The leader supervises the work that they have done. If they have done a good work they will be rewarded (they obtain a reward) but if they have not done a good work , the leader will punish them.

CREATIVE COMMON LICENCES: Creative Common Licences are the basic system used for sharing free content online such as photos, videos, music, information, …. There are different kinds of licences due to the uses and conditions that the creator chose for them, so people can use them respecting these conditions.

COPYRIGHT: Copyright means that only the author of a certain product (such as a photo, video, article,..) or somebody with the permission of the author have the rights granted to reproduce or share that product, so people have to pay to its author to use it.

SLIDESHARE: SlideShare is a company with the goal of transmiting knowledge online, such us documents, slide presentations...  Users can upload their content and other people can comment it. Also, it is so used to share the material uploaded in blogs or other kinds of social networks.

SLIDESHOW: Slideshow is a digital presentation of several pages which contain images, text, etc with the goal of presenting it to an audience. These presentations are usually created by programs such as PowerPoint or Open Office Impress.

Although these are the five terms that I have chosen(from my point of view they are the most important ones), in this task my group have learnt so much about other terms such as Storyboard or Jamendo among others.

Task 2 (TH: Cartographic Projections). Translator

Hello everyone!!!
I am María and this week, I am the translator ^.^ This experience is very useful and interesting for me because I have learnt so much about the main concepts of this second task.

From my point of view I select these five concepts:

CARTOGRAPHY:  It is the science that commits him in the design and the analysis of maps.

MAP PROJECTION: It is a useful tool to represent the Earth’s surface. There isn’t a perfect projection model; in fact these types of projections distorted the reality, the use of one or other projection depending the type and purpose of each map.

MEDIA: Some instruments that are used for communicating and transmitting the information in a textual, visual, sound or audiovisual form.In addition, these tools can determine the students’ vision about something.

DISTORTION: It is a variation on the original shape of an object, sound or picture that modifies the reality.

TREASURE HUNT: is a game in which children have to find the answers of determined questions using a series of clues.. It is formed by an introduction of the exercise, questions to answer  and a  “big question” to think about. Sometimes the websites could be appeared for students to find the answers.

Task 1 (TPACK). Translator

Hi everyone! :)
I am María José, one of the members of the group Busy Bees and this week I am the TRANSLATOR. My role consists in selecting five important concepts about the task that we have done. This is my first time so I 'm going to try to explain it as well as possible. The five concepts that we have learnt this week are the following:

TPACK (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge): TPACK TPACK is a model that is offered to teachers, a mental structure for thinking about the different areas of knowledge related to an effective teaching and the interaction of knowledge and skills necessary for the effective integration of technology. It is composed by three kinds of knowledge (technology, pedagogy and content) and their interactions: TCK (Technological Content knowledge), TPK (Technological Pedagogical Knowledge) and PCK (Pedagogical Content Knowledge).

TCK (Technological Content knowledge): how teachers choose tool and technological resources that will help students to learn contends curricular programs.Furthermore, they have to know what technologies are more useful to present the content.

TPK (Technological Pedagogical Knowledge): Knowledge of how to teach well with new tools and technological resources

PCK (Pedagogical Content Knowledge): know what to teach and how to teach it. It includes the essential interests of teaching, learning, curriculum, assessment and reporting, and also the relationship between curriculum, assessment and pedagogy.

CK (Content Knowledge): knowledge of what it is teaching. In other words Content knowledge alludes to the theories, concepts or ideas of mathematics, art, science… that would be taught in class.

Here you have the references that I have used to define these concepts:
  • Mark Fijor. New school technology (October 2011). TPACK-in-action
  • Koehler, M. J., & Mishra, P. (2009). What is technological pedagogical content knowledge? Contemporary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education, 9(1), 60-70.
